AEDC 2015 – For Principals You should have already received: –A letter via from the National AEDC team in November 2014 and February 2015 –A School Pack (hard copy via post) – this includes your school activation code Contact the national AEDC Helpdesk or Jen Lorains if you have not received the School Pack

AEDC 2015 – For Principals Activate your school by 4 May Register your Transition teachers Identify an Indigenous Cultural Consultant (ICC) Schools are reimbursed for teacher and ICC release time by the Federal Government. Before 4 May, 2015

AEDC 2015 – For Teachers You will receive an inviting you to register Register on the AEDC system from April 20 Create your class list You will either identify the children in your class from a pre-populated list or by entering each child individually. Before 4 May, 2015

AEDC 2015 – For Teachers A Teacher Pack will arrive in April

AEDC 2015 – For Teachers Review the Teacher Pack Complete the Teacher training Sit with the ICC and watch the ICC training Before starting the AEDC

AEDC 2015 – For ICCs The Indigenous Cultural Consultant (ICCs) provides a cultural perspective for understanding of children’s development. ICCs do not need to register on the system Sit with the teacher and watch the ICC training Complete the AEDC with the Transition Teacher

AEDC 2015 – For parents Use the communication you feel is most appropriate for your school parents

For schools in major centers (Darwin & Alice Springs) Transition teachers are released from class to complete the AEDC Schools arrange teacher relief as they normally would Schools arrange an ICC to support the teacher for Indigenous children Schools generate an invoice for teacher and ICC reimbursement through online AEDC system

For remote / very remote schools (with 5 or more children in Transition) Transition teachers are released from class to complete the AEDC A relief teacher can travel to your school to provide relief. Release includes time for Transition Teachers to complete training video Schools arrange an ICC to support the teacher for Indigenous children Schools generate an invoice for ICC relief reimbursement only, through online AEDC system Jen Lorains (NT AEDC Manager) will contact Principals to arrange your schools scheduled time Teachers should be registered and have created their class list before Relief arrives

For remote / very remote schools (with 4 or less children in Transition) Teacher training and data collection should take no longer than 2 hours Jen Lorains (NT AEDC Manager) can discuss local relief options with you. Schools arrange an ICC to support the teacher for Indigenous children Schools generate an invoice for teacher and ICC reimbursement through online AEDC system Jen Lorains will contact Principals to discuss this
