+ Characteristics of Functional Relationships Social with each other, friends, and family Take part in activities outside the relationship Enjoy one another’s company Positive outlook on life (realistic)

+ Characteristics of Functional Relationships Problem solve (without blaming) Express affection and praise Flexibility (can adapt to different situations) Communication is the number one priority

+ Dysfunctional Relationships are… Unhealthy and lack happiness
