Patent Pending Application #62/140,247 Score It! Tennis

App Overview ScoreIt! Tennis enables players to choose one of 2 functions: 1. Track Game Scores, Games Won and Lost, and Sets Won and lost 2. Track Shot statistics In Game Scoring mode the app enables the user to track points for and against, and tracks both regular game play scoring (15, 30, etc) as well as tie-breaks. In Shot tracking mode, the app enables people playing in a tennis match to track and have an electronic record of their shot statistics, but cannot easily do so while participating in the match, they need a 2nd person to track their performance on a computer, tablet or smart phone. While software does exist to allow sports statistics to be electronically entered on a PC, tablet, or Phone, it requires someone other than the participant – such as a spectator or coach – to input the data. The “Score It!” software running on the wrist-wearable device will allow the participant to enter their match data themselves. Operation The user will install the software on their smart-phone or tablet, and then the smart-phone or table will deploy the user interface to the wrist- wearable device. Before a tennis match, the user will start the app on the Watch, which will then initialize and start the input interface on the Watch. For a tennis match, the user will choose the Match type, and then swipe to the Set and Game screen. The software will automatically record the date and time of the match, and start a timer to record Match Time, Set Time, and Game time. The software has an input screen on the wrist-wearable device for each type of shot during the match, such as Forehand or Backhand. While playing the match, when the user hits a shot such as a forehand winner, they will “swipe” to move between input screens to find the “Forehands” screen, and then tap a button to increment the number of Forehand winners. This can be done very quickly using the wrist wearable device as to not interrupt or delay match play. As the games and match progress, the user will continue to enter statistics, and when the game ends can press a stop button to record the game statistics, then select a new game, and start the process again. The software will provide interfaces for all of the possible shots the player can hit, such as Aces, Double Faults, Forehand Winners, Forehand Unforced Errors, etc. At the end of the match, the user will tap the “End Match” button, which will trigger the software to compile all match statistics and sync the data to the “parent” app on the Smart-phone. The user can then view reports on the smart-phone.

When the Watch App starts, the user selects the ScoreIt! Tennis Operation Mode.

In Score Keeping mode, the app displays the current score, Games won/lost, And Sets won/lost

The User taps the green tennis ball when they win a point

And taps the red tennis ball when their opponent wins a point.

The score is recorded until the user or opponent wins the game

The App will track Deuces. If, at Deuce, the user wins the point and taps the green ball…

The app displays Ad-In. If the opponent wins the next point and the user taps the red ball…

The app displays “Deuce #2” and so on until someone wins the game.

The opponent has won the game, so the score is 1 game each. The user can continue tracking the scoring, and the first to 6 games, or to 7 games if the opponent has 5, wins the Set. If the games won are 6 each, the scoring mode changes to tie-break, 1 per point, and continues until someone gets to 7 or wins by 2.

At the end of the match, scroll down and tap “End Match”

If the user selects Shot Tracking mode.

On the next screen the user selects the Match Type. The user navigates between screens by “Swiping”

When the match button is tapped, The Button label changes to “End” and will be pressed to end the match, and a Match timer starts. The user then Swipes to move to the next screen. Swipe

On this screen the user will use buttons to start the Set and Game. When the App starts, the Set and Game are already set to 1, so the user can just press “Start Set” and then “Start Game”. The user then swipes to advance to the data entry and reporting screens. 1. Tap “Start Set” The Start Game button is disabled until Start Set is tapped

2. Tap “Start Game”

Once the user taps the Start buttons, Set and Game Timers start, and the button labels change to “End”. The user can then swipe to advance through the data entry screens. Swipe
