Summer 2005ECE 154: Intro. to Computer ArchitectureSlide 1 ECE 154: Intro. to Computer Architecture Meetings MTWR 8:00-9:30 ( exams begin earlier ); Phelps 1437 Office hoursM 9:30-11:00, W 12:30-2:00, Engr I 5155 TA: T 1:00-2:00, R 11:00-12:00, F 10:00-11:00 PrerequisiteLogic design (ECE 152A or equivalent) Evaluation20% Homework 30% Closed-book midterm exam 50% Closed-book final exam Note: There will be discussion sessions on Fridays 6/24 and 7/8, a lecture on Friday 7/15, and final exam on Friday 7/29. These extra Friday sessions, held in our regular classroom, are necessary due to a holiday, instructor’s travel for a professional conference, and two fewer classes in the short summer session format.

Hennessy, Computer Organization and Design: The Hardware/Software Interface, Morgan Kaufmann, 3rd edition, 2005 (the 2nd edition, 1998, is also quite good and may be less expensive).
