New Technology In the Classroom By: Kristina Runde Jennifer Bernstein Jessica Ybarra Kelsey Thorne LRC 320 January 30, 2009

Technology and Education Benefits of Technology Lessons are more interesting and appealing (as opposed to writing with chalk on a chalkboard) – It can make students want to pay attention! Finding information is faster (opening Internet Explorer as opposed to going to library and searching for a book) – It can save you time! A chance to be creative (as opposed to using the blackboard everyday for lessons) – It can be fun! Presenting information is easier (as opposed to writing lecture notes out on paper) – It can save you energy! Saving information is convenient (as opposed to keeping folders and notebooks on your desk in your house and classroom) – It can save you space! Technology brings different ways to present educational information to students – creating a fun and interesting learning environment. Several different technologies help all types of learners (Visual, Auditory, etc.) Kids love technology! Classrooms are now technology savvy. Schools and teachers continue to upgrade their materials and resources, benefiting everyone – teachers, students, and parents. Technology has changed education.
