Network of Excellence in Multifunctional Microsystems Funded by EC DG III - IST OBJECTIVES OF NEXUS  The Strategic Goal of NEXUS is: To promote microsystems technology (MST) uptake by European industries in order to strengthen and secure Europe's competitiveness, world-wide  NEXUS IV will provide a "missionary role" for the European community aimed at:  stimulating co-operation within the European MST community by providing an infrastructure for Users and Suppliers to exploit opportunities offered by MST  helping to provide strategic guidance and future directions on MST technologies on behalf of the European microsystems community.  establishing a common European MST representation towards funding authorities and other relevant organisations in Europe and world-wide.
