Sustainability Research Institute - SRI - SRI ’ s purpose is to research and develop models for sustainable rural settlement that meet human, social and environmental needs, thereby meeting the sustainability challenge that increasingly faces our society. ResearchResearch  SRI is incorporated as a not-for-profit public company and is a registered charity. It is a CSIRO approved Research Institute with DGR (Donor Gift Recipient) status with the Australian Tax Office.  SRI is incorporated as a not-for-profit public company and is a registered charity.  SRI has established a working relationship with the University of Western Sydney, The Science-Art Research Centre, Sustainable Futures of Australia and the Earth Repair Foundation.

MembershipMembership  SRI is comprised of directors and members with a wide network of associated researchers and practitioners skilled in relevant fields.

IncomeIncome  SRI will become financially self- sustaining predominantly by earning income from the provision of research, human development and educational services, sale of products and from royalties.

Assets  The assets of SRI such as land, buildings and plant will be leased from the Natural Capital Protection Trust (NCPT), or secured for the work of the Institute.  Donations to the NCPT are 100% tax deductible and repayment arrangements for loans to SRI or NCPT will be individually negotiated with those who support this ethical initiative.

Management  All decisions pertaining to the conduct of projects and to the management of SRI will be made by consensus of those directly involved.

This will protect the integrity of natural ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, conserve resources and promote human health and wellbeing.  Is a not-for-profit entity established as an environmental organization approved for registration by the Federal Minister for the Environment.
