通訊產業發展推動小組 7 ICT Development in Taiwan  Progressing from IT to info-comm (ICT), Taiwan has been a major supplier of OEM/ODM products, and has taken the lead in the mobile communication penetration and broadband take-up.  Mobile operators are effective in offering new services and the general public is receptive to the innovative applications.  Cost-down strategy must complement value-up strategy to stay globally competitive, thus Taiwan is expanding knowledge-based services for sustainable growth. Initiatives such as Mobile Taiwan and iB3G Dual-Network have been launched to enhance the value of product, quality of life, social cohesion and overall competitiveness.
