Housing Greensboro’s mission is to provide decent, safe and affordable housing to low-income households working towards the elimination of substandard housing restoring the dignity and hope to families living in Greensboro neighborhoods. Certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Licensed General Contractor and Certified Lead Firm Contracted with Advanced Energy for System Vision and HPwES Repaired over 250 homes since our inception and Acquired/Rehabbed 10 homes Honored with 2009 Kavanagh Cup by Greensboro Builder’s Association Received the 2010 Brandt Taylor Barrier Free Success Award from The Greensboro Mayor’s Committee For Persons with Disabilities through the GMA.

Home’s will be assessed for external repairs and landscaping work that could be completed in one day by a group of volunteers led by skilled construction leaders. Some examples of the type of repairs that might be included would be:  Exterior painting of trim/siding where volunteer friendly  Caulking or weather-stripping around doors or windows  Adjust or repair windows and doors  Minor roof repairs  Storm door repair or replacement  Window screen repair or replacement  Building handrails to entrance steps or small access ramps  Cleaning gutters or small branches surrounding the house  Mowing lawn, planting bushes or flowers
