7 A Brief History of the Fuller Center The Fuller Center was founded in 2005 by Millard Fuller to continue the dream of eliminating poverty housing that began with his founding of Habitat for Humanity. The Fuller Center has established partner organizations in 60 cities and 17 countries on six continents. The Fuller Center has completed Building and Renovating over 1000 houses

8 What is The Fuller Center for Housing? The Fuller Center is a private, non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing around the world. It is not a government agency and does not use government funds for house building. The Fuller Center builds with, not for, families in need. Partner families pay for their new or rehabilitated homes on terms they can afford with no profit made nor interest charged. Payments go into a local Fund for Humanity to be used to build or rehabilitate more houses, turning beneficiaries into donors, restoring hope and dignity. No location is too poor or too distant. The Fuller Center will go wherever it is called.

9 What is The Fuller Center for Housing? Projects are funded by charitable donations made by churches, community organizations and individuals. Local and international volunteers work side by side with partner families to build the houses. The Fuller Center and its volunteers are motivated by their faith and concern for others, not for personal gain or recognition. A simple, decent home provides a secure and dignified place in which a family can build a home, raise healthy children and enjoy the pride and dignity that come with homeownership. A new neighborhood in Nigeria of Fuller Center houses where the 50 th home was dedicated in 2009. American volunteers join hands to celebrate the completion of another Fuller Center house
