Golden Jubilee Celebration Plan NSSCE Alumni Association

Golden Jubilee  NSSCE began operation in July 1960  2010 is Golden Jubilee year  This presentation is a strawman to:  Discuss what we as alumni should do this year  Explore how each alumni chapter could contribute  Invite ideas and suggestions from chapters around the world on what, how etc.

Alumni Day  Coordinator: Umadevi PP  Technical seminars, panel discussions  Cultural programs by alumni members and family, along with student participation  In August? (vacation in Gulf, US etc)  All chapters are requested to give suggestions and confirm details of their participation

Tech publication  Dr. Prahlad to coordinate the effort  A committee of eminent teachers/researchers  Contribution by alumni, teachers and students  Advertisement for funds  Savings will be used for Scholarships and Alumni block

Jubilee Souvenir  Coordinator to be decided by the college jubilee committee  A section for Alumni contributions  Alumnus to contribute non-tech articles  Chapters to solicit advertisements/sponsorships

Student centric programs  Jubilee Scholarship  Seminars:  Skill development sessions  Technical sessions by Alumni and others  Other placement oriented programs  Anything else you could think of?

Long term plans  Masters program  Re-accreditation  Tie ups  Extension centers in Bangalore, UAE  What alumni can do on these:  Discuss with the management  Media campaign?  Any ideas and suggestions in this regard will be great!
