Cyber Bullying

Bullies are no longer just found on the playground, they can invade your cyber space!

The new name for someone who bullies you in a chat room, in an online game, by instant messaging, or through is “griefer”. A griefer can even bully you on your cell phone!

Tips for Dealing with Griefers MOST IMPORTANT: TELL AN ADULT! Then, ignore cyber bullies. If you don’t reply, most griefers will eventually get bored and go away.

Do something else. If a griefer won't stop bothering you, try a different game, or take a break and come back later. Don't fight fire with fire. Don’t act like a griefer yourself, because that can just make a cyber bully worse!

NEVER give out personal information. Stay anonymous so griefers can’t find you.
