UNCLASSIFIED Organization Protect Your Home Get involved in your community. i.e., Crime Watch. Use your peepholes. Get to know your neighbors. Use deadbolt locks. Don’t hide your keys. Report any suspicious activities. SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN.

UNCLASSIFIED Crime Prevention Protect Your Home Fix doors and windows that will not secure. Install high-wattage bulbs on porch lights. Check fire extinguishers and smoke alarms twice a year. Post emergency numbers by the phone. 396-EYES

UNCLASSIFIED Crime Prevention Vehicle Security Install an alarm system with a ignition cut off switch and a hood locking device. Roll windows up and lock your doors even if you are “Just running in for a minute”. Don’t leave valuables in plain sight. This includes stereos, detachable face systems, radar detectors, cell phones and CD’s. Some insurance companies won’t cover those losses.

UNCLASSIFIED Crime Prevention Vehicle Security Ft. Bragg Policy #12: It is against post policy to store TA-50 unattended in POV’s. Violators may be subject to administrative or disciplinary action under the UCMJ. (Art. 92, failure to obey) This policy also covers other high value items. Mark your property. MP’s can’t return recovered property if we don’t know who it belongs to.

UNCLASSIFIED Crime Prevention While You’re Away… Have a neighbor or friend look after your house. Put your lights on timers. Stop all deliveries. Move high value items away from window view. Don’t leave an answering machine message that says you’re away. Secure all outside valuables. Have a friend mow your lawn.
