Adverb Practice 1 1.It finally became so severe that Beethoven could not hear his own music. 2.No matter how loudly he pounded on the keyboard of his piano, he still could not hear the notes that it produced. 3.Beethoven stubbornly refused to give up, however. 4.He courageously continued not only to compose but also to conduct performances of his works. 5.Would you be very surprised to learn that he composed his greatest works after he had lost his hearing completely?

Adverb Practice 2 For each sentence below, write each adverb. 1.Beethoven tirelessly devoted himself to his music. 2.He often worked late. 3.In fact, his nocturnal piano playing made him very unpopular with his more conventional neighbors. 4.The composer was terribly shocked to realize that he was losing his hearing when he was in his late twenties. 5.His condition gradually worsened.
