Recipe for Scottish Shortbread By Primary 6/7 Miss O’Connor

Ingredients/Equipment. Sugar: 50g Flour: 175g Butter: 100g Bowls and spoons. scales Baking tray.

Preparing Step 1 Preheat the oven to 150 °C. Step 2 Wash your hands. Step 3 Measuring your ingredients.

Method Step 1: Beat together the sugar and butter with a wooden spoon. Step 2: Mix in the flour until it turns into a paste. Step 3:Roll out the paste to about 5mm thick.

Method cont.. Step 4 – Use cutter to cut out twelve Biscuits. Step 5 – Place on a greased baking tray in the oven for twenty- twenty-five minutes. Step 6 – Transfer to a cooling rack and sprinkle with sugar. EAT AND ENJOY!!
