Name of the farmer: Gopal Patidar Total Area:3.0 ha Village & Post: Rakoda Block:Piploda District:Ratlam (M.P.) Background information: At present Ratlam districts area ha, production – tonne, productivity – qtl. This is due to crop diversification initiated by Gopal Patidar who introduce onion in village Rakoda ( ) with 1.0 ha. The increase in production and productivity is achieved by KVK interventions. Today village Rakoda is having 150 ha area and famous for ONION GROWERS. In the season per day 3 to 4 trucks are being loaded and Marketed (75/80) within and out side state (Mumbai, Delhi, Jalandhar, Udaipur and Ahmedbad).The farmers are getting good remuration and higher income. KVK, Ratlam (M.P.)
