Summer Reading Club This summer will be the fourth year Program has grown over 15% each year

Summer Reading Clubs Runs for 8 weeks The same program 3 times a week Survey the parents as to when is the best time Set up dates Registration—send information home with students and do it onsite at each location Funded through Missouri State Library

Summer Reading Club Use the Manual from the State Attend the workshops from the State Library for ideas Parents participate with children

Summer Reading Clubs Schedule ◦Check and mark reading charts ◦Stories ◦Craft ◦Snack ◦Door Prizes  Usually give out 5 door prizes but everyone will get a small item—Everyone’s a winner in the library!

Reading Adventure Nights Held monthly—well almost monthly at the three locations Each month has a theme Read several books Do a craft Snack Door prizes—kids and parents Kids get a free book
