1. Mrs. Monacelli`s Class Week of October 24th Book We Read:
What we did this week:
We learned all about Nocturnal Animals
We talked about what nocturnal means and learned about all the different animals that are nocturnal.
We walked a video about what animals do at night while we are sleeping and we learned more about what other animals are nocturnal.
We talked specifically about Bats and Owls and learned some fun facts about each of these animals.
The children made a spider web by marble painting, we also made a spider with our hands for our month page
We learned about the letter H and what sound it makes. We read our H book, talked about H words and practiced making the letter H.
Math Centers: Spider web counting, ABCYA.com: carve a Pumpkin game, Candy patterns and courting and writing the numbers 1-5 on pumpkins.
The children read the book: The Five Little Pumpkins, we acted it out and then made a our own poem art.
