LAST WEEK YOU LEARNT NUMBERS IN SPANISH. IT IS IMPORTANT YOU HAVE ALL THE NUMBERS FROM 0 TO 31 COPIED INTO YOUR EXERCISE BOOK. IF NOT, YOU MUST FINISH THAT FIRST. (GO BACK TO LAST WEEK’S SLIDESHOW) THE NEXT 2 SLIDES CONTAIN EXERCISES TO HELP YOU PRACTICE THE NUMBERS FROM 0 TO 31 IN SPANISH. WRITE ALL YOUR ANSWERS IN YOUR EXERCISE BOOKS. USE THE NOTES YOU MADE LAST WEEK TO HELP YOU.

Match the number to the word Look at the example below 1diecinueve2seis 12siete18dieciocho 23quince24veinticinco 14cuatro31dos 16veintitrés11once 15diecisiete3veinte 6doce14treinta y uno 17dieciséis25catorce 28dieciocho13veinticuatro 19catorce7tres 4veintiocho20veinte Example: 5 =CINCO

Copy out the numbers filling in the blanks with the missing letters. Then write the number in figures next to it. Look at the example below. CU_T_OS_ET_O_HOC_NC_ TR_ C_ QU_ NC _DIE_IS_ISD_EC_OC_O D_ EC_N_EV_V_INT_UN_ V_INT_C_NC_ V_ INT_NU_VETR_IN_A Y D_OS TR_IN_A Y_RES Example: C_NCO = CINCO = 5

NOW YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE NUMBERS TO SAY HOW OLD YOU ARE… TO ASK SOMEONE “HOW OLD ARE YOU?” IN SPANISH, THIS IS WHAT YOU SAY… “¿CUÁNTOS AÑOS TIENES?” WRITE “¿CUÁ NTOS AÑOS TIENES?” = “HOW OLD ARE YOU?” IN YOUR BOOK WRITE THIS TITLE IN YOUR BOOK …. “SAYING HOW OLD I AM”

TO ANSWER THE QUESTION IN SPANISH, THIS IS WHAT YOU SAY. FOR THIS EXAMPLE WE ARE SAYING “12 YEARS OLD”. REMEMBER THE WORD FOR 12 IS “DOCE” “TENGO DOCE AÑOS” IF YOU ARE 11 YEARS OLD, YOU SAY “TENGO ONCE AÑOS” IF YOU ARE 19 YEARS OLD, YOU SAY “TENGO DIECINUEVE AÑOS” CAN YOU SEE THE PATTERN? SIMPLY USE THE WORDS “TENGO” AND “AÑOS” AND PUT THE NUMBER FOR THE AGE BETWEEN THEM. SO TO SAY HOW OLD I AM, IT IS “TENGO.....(NUMBER IN SPANISH)…..AÑOS” THE EXERCISE ON THE NEXT SLIDE WILL HELP YOU PRACTICE MORE IN YOUR BOOK, NOW WRITE HOW OLD YOU ARE IN SPANISH.

¿ CUÁNTOS AÑOS TIENES? How would these people answer in Spanish? Write the answers in your exercise books. When you have finished go to the next slide (Example) Tengo doce años2. Tengo …………años3. Tengo. ……años 4. Tengo………… …….. 6. Tengo………… …….. 5. Tengo…….. 7. ……….. ……….. ………… 9. ……….. ……….. ………… 8. ……….. ……….. …………

WELL DONE FOR FINISHING ALL THE EXERCISES. NOW GO TO TO THE SPANISH KEY STAGE 3 HOMEPAGE, CLICK THE GAMES LINK AND ENJOY THE NUMBERS 0 TO 31 GAMES.
