1 WALT: Recognise and use phrases in the past tense with opinions of leisure activities.
WILF: To be able to use opinions in the past tense. To be able to use intensifiers. You must be able to recognise 3 different tenses for grade C and above.

2 Copy this key information into your book.

3 Write out each of the “intensifiers” and the opinion phrases in French and English. They are all in the “past”, so they will all mean “it was”.

4 Listening 1 Listen to these people discussing the films below. What opinions do they say? Write down the letter of the opinions mentioned. Grade D

5 Listening 2 Grade C Listen to this conversation and note the order that each opinion is mentioned. Write the corresponding letter each time.

6 Read the text and answer the questions below.

7 Write a response to Thomas’ in the previous slide in French, saying what you did last weekend. Use his message as a template as well as the vocabulary below. You MUST include opinions and use INTENSIFIERS as well. Writing
