About Regular Recordings Recordings are placed in the “Recording” folder in the SD Card Record as long as there’s space in SD Card Various settings precisely control recordings Default sound setting provides high quality with minimum space requirements Other sound quality modes include Conference, Audio, Analog Cassette, Radio, and Custom The External Audio Input Jack option in the Menu, allows you to select External Microphone Mode or to Select Line-in Mode in order to use a patch cord to record from another electronic device

Tips Give the recording a meaningful name during the first few seconds to make it easy to identify later BPP always adds to the end of an existing file, so there’s no need to move to the end before you begin to record Add to a recording by pressing Record again You may wish to use earphones to prevent the announcements from entering the recording or Go to the Menu and turn Guidance Off in the Recording settings If these recordings are made for further editing on your PC, they are ready to use. They are located in the Recording folder To determine card space, press key 5 while in standby

Headings in a Recording When you finish a recording, BPP may create a Digital Talking Book to play in other DTB players Headings are navigation points in a title Allows you to create headings in both recording and playback Allows you to delete sections between headings

Deleting a Recording Same steps as Deleting other titles Navigate to the title Press the Menu key and select the Media Management option Select the Delete Title option and confirm

Build Book DTB’s are comprised of multiple files Each time you add to a recording or create a new heading, BPP creates a new file within a folder and gives it the next consecutive number as name To build a DTB, press the Menu key and select the Media Management option Select the Build the Book option Once the book is built you may no longer add to the recording until you use the Prepare for Editing tool in the Media Management menu Navigate recordings by Heading with the Heading Navigation keys 7 and 9 BPP’s recordings contain only Level 1 Headings
