AP Chemistry is one of the hardest AP courses, but the rewards are significant. AP Chemistry is definitely one of the hardest AP Courses and not for the faint of heart. HOWEVER, the rewards are significant:

Freshman chemistry is the flunk out course for first year science, math, and engineering students. If you take this course, even if you don’t pass the exam, you will be well prepared and have an advantage in freshman college chemistry. You can earn 4-8 college credits depending on your test score, lab book, and the school.
