 Our Team’s story…  Research / Case Study…

Christine Burton - Lawyer - Staying connected is an integral part of my life. You never know when you will be able to use the connection you have made - or BE the connection.

Russell Thomas - Communications Director - `Regarding the use of Social Media``So, as I lie by the pool, nestled under a towel so I can properly see my iPad screen fighting the glare of the intense Mayan Riviera sun, checking my Facebook and Twitter, know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am truly on vacation and that my social media public life is not an effort, encumbrance or encroachment - though I completely understand and respect that it might be for you and yours.

Mike Duroches - Board - Chamber of Commerce - I am connected to musicians all over the world. No matter where I go, I know someone. I have visited colleagues in Europe, all because we communicated and had common interests through our chat on a common web-site. Community businesses can belong to a website where they find information and post information important to their business. It`s imperative to stay connected.

 What does LWB Alumni really mean?  Is staying connected important?  How do we stay connected?  How do we leverage off each others strengths in the future?

 Introduce  Disclaimers  Lets get at it!

 Walkthrough with the Team!

 Recommendations:  Past LWB participants requested to join  Presenters invited to join and post their material  LWB adopts website and covers the yearly fee of $250  LWB 2011/2012 completes strength quest at beginning of year

 Who can join?  Should only members be able to post items or create events?  Any other comments, suggestions, recommendations?  Your feedback is critical, as a prototype you are part of shaping the final product!

 Mentoring relationships bring people together with different backgrounds, positions, experiences, and positions of influence  Expands and strengthens networking within the community  Proposal – Each LWB participant is submitted as a mentor to a participant the following year. Replace the interview a leader in the community element with contact and interview your mentor….

 Our individual experience / reflection…

 “It seems to me that trying to live without friends is like milking a bear to get cream for your morning coffee. It is a whole lot of trouble, and then not worth much after you get it.” - Zora Neale Hurston
