3 Use Your Strengths The ability of the principal to use their strengths to guide instructional improvement is key to creating standards-based change. naesp

4 Focusing on Signature Themes Strengths-building requires a focus on the following: 1.Becoming consciously competent. 2.Consistent, near perfect performance. 3.Making more appropriate decisions. 4.Achieving refinement. 5.Polishing your personality for a purpose. Your signature themes are your filter or lens. You react to the world through these themes. Signature themes will not change much but you can acquire new knowledge and skills. 6 Talents Special natural ability or aptitude. Enduring and unique. Recurring patterns created by connections in your brain. Can be strengthened but not completely changed.
