György Seres: Bases of military system modeling Universal model of military system

I developed a model for study of military system, ( like an old model creator ) Universal model of military system

Military system can be a system of any level, from a military alliance to a digital warrior. Alliance, national armed forces, branches, weapon systems, military vehicles, etc. Universal model of military system

Military system Universal model of military system Alliance, national armed forces,... military vehicles,... digital warrior

Inputs of military system are requirements, conditions, influences, resources from its Environment Outputs are attributes, capabilities, signals, reactions, losses to its Environment Universal model of military system

Purpose Military system Environment Attributes, capabilities, signals, reactions, losses Requirements, conditions, influences, resources Inputs Outputs Universal model of military system

I begin describing of system from its environment. Why ? Think about Napoleon’s war against Russia, Hitler’s war against the Soviet Union, war of France and USA against Vietnam, or wars of Arabic States against Israel ! –Outcome of these wars did not mirror the power ratio, because attackers paid no enough attention to environmental influences –- Russian Winter, Vietnam Jungle, patriotism of the people, or help of the Diaspora.

Environment of military system Environment’s subsystems are: Friendly –Command, –cooperative, –logistics. Enemy –Attack, –defense. Neutral –Geographical, –political –climatic, –meteorological, –daytime, –etc.

Purpose Military system Environment Environment of military system Friendly Neutral Enemy Command, cooperative, logistics Geographical, political, meteorological, etc. Attacker/defender

I continue describing of system with its purpose. Why ? Think about the Iraq wars of President Bush senior and junior! –The US took no notice of political environment when defined the purpose of the Second Gulf War - reactions of dominant powers of the EU or Russia, and neighboring Islamic States, or domestic force of different Islamic groups.

Purpose of military system Purpose of military systems can be determinated by its environment (excluding terrorist military systems, which determinate own purpose itself) Survival Result

Determined by friendly environment result can be: –deterrent, –threat, –victory, –defense, –intelligence, –destroy, –occupation, –extortion, –etc. Main result of military systems must be determined by friendly environment

Determined by neutral environment result can be : –surviving a desert storm, –surviving a snow, –surviving a sea storm –etc. … but purpose can be determinated also by neutral environment

Determined by enemy environment result can be: –Camouflage, –retreat, –etc. … also purpose can be determinated by enemy environment

Purpose Military system Environment Purpose of military system Survival Result Camouflage, retreat, etc. Survival of weather storm, etc. Friendly Neutral Enemy Losses Deterrent, threat, victory, destroy, defense, intelligence, occupation, extortion,, etc.
