2 Topics Covered in this Webinar What is a PDU? PDU Requirements PDU Categories  Examples of how to earn PDUs How to claim PDUs on the PMI website

3 What is a PDU? PDU stands for Professional Development Unit. According to PMI, a PDU is the measuring unit used to quantify approval learning and professional service activities. PDU activities for credential holders must be related to project management topics that are consistent with the specific credential, ie, PMP, ACP, Scheduling, etc. You typically earn one PDU for every hour spent engaged in an activity. You may report fractions of PDUs in 0.25 increments following one full hour. When attending conferences, one claim is made for the whole event, although you still need to keep records of the sessions actually attended.

4 PDU Requirements 60 PDUs in 3-year cycle (PMP/PgMP/PfMP/PMI-PBA) 30 PDUs in 3-year cycle (PMI-ACP/PMI-RMP/PMI-SP) Education PDU Categories No maximum number of PDUs (except Self-Directed Learning (30) Giving Back to the Profession PDU Categories Maximum: 45 PDUs in 3-year cycle (PMP/PgMP) 20 PDUs in 3-year cycle (PMI-ACP/PMI-RMP/PMI-SP)
