Presentation transcript:

Welcome to Back to School Night Mrs Welcome to Back to School Night Mrs. Clark’s 4th & 5th Grade Class NOTE: You don’t need to click on anything. The slides will advance automatically, so just sit back and watch the show.

Are you asking yourself this question? How is Mrs. Clark going to teach TWO grade levels at the same time? The answer: TECHNOLOGY! Your student will spend some time learning at the computers, just like you are right now.

Math PowerPoint Lessons Each math lesson includes a PowerPoint presentation, which one grade level will view independently while I teach the other grade level.

Math Personal Tutors Short videos of lessons are presented by “Personal Tutors” Here Mrs. Varughese is showing how to find the prime factorization of 54

Spelling Pretests I will use a program similar to the Personal Tutors to record spelling pretests. As students correct their pretest, I will provide instruction about the spelling rule we’re focusing on that week.

Social Studies Online Textbook Our complete social studies text book is online. Students can click on the text, and the computer will read it aloud to them.

Reading iTunes Students will listen to stories in their reading textbook and core literature novels on iTunes

PowerPoint Presentations Science & Social Studies Students will learn how to create their own PowerPoint presentations on topics such as: Explorers The 13 Colonies Famous Californians
