Swanson and Dr. Alan Fazzari Employers and employees are presently facing the newest diversity issue in our workplaces: age diversity. The dynamics of the four, soon to be five, generations are something Human Resource professionals need to be aware of. The varied wants and needs, communication styles, attire preferences, family-work balances, authority issues and collaboration skills should create an awareness for Human Resources from their recruitment strategies to the building of bench strength. The differences among the age groups on one hand have created stress, conflict and frustration. Yet, these same variations have also become a major source of increased creativity and productivity unsurpassed by any industrial era in history. The one-size fits all cookie cutter mentality will no longer apply if your organization wishes to achieve overall bottom line success. Join Drs. Don Swanson and Alan Fazzari as they take you on a journey of the: Traditionalists ---- Boomers----X Generation----Millennials You will also have an opportunity to see first hand through short one act role plays how each generation might react to critical areas of organizational development. If approached with respect and flexibility, the generational divide can actually become another bridge to a Strategic Human Resource intervention.
