About the CRTPA An MPO shall be designated for each urbanized area… Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency The region’s metropolitan planning organization (Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties) Coordinates the region’s transportation planning Federally funded and federally mandated transportation decision making body comprised of local government representatives and transportation agencies

About the CRTPA (continued) CRTPA Board comprised of 15 elected officials 2 CRTPA Committees – Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and Citizen Multimodal Advisory Committee (CMAC) CRTPA Documents include Regional Mobility Plan (the agency’s Long Range Transportation Plan that is developed every 5 years) and Transportation Improvement Program (developed annually)…

Transportation Improvement Program Understanding the TIP 5-year document containing transportation projects within the CRTPA region (Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties) – that are funded in the State Work Program – state & federally funded. Includes roadway, pedestrian, bicycle, airport and transit projects. Mandated document (in order to use federal funds $$ for transportation projects).
