Galatians 6:7-10 (NKJV) 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

GALATIANS 6:7-10 The Devil’s Beatitudes

Devil’s Beatitudes It’s been said, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” The meaning behind keeping your enemies close is to keep an eye on them in case they mean you harm It’s a good thought in theory, all though dangerous or difficult to do

Devil’s Beatitudes Perhaps the next best thing would be getting in the minds of our enemies If we could think like them, it might help us to avoid their plans or pitfalls intended for us This could certainly apply to Satan as well

Devil’s Beatitudes If we know what Satan is trying to do, what he is looking for, then perhaps it will help us in our defense against him Remember Peter described Satan as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (I Pet. 5:8) Here is what Satan wants…

Blessed are… 1. …those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend a few hours a week with their fellow Christians. Satan might deem these his best workers, because it seems they do nothing of profit Some have the attitude of, “why should I go, I can do all those things at home?”

Blessed are… 1. …those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend a few hours a week with their fellow Christians. Those who do not join in on Sundays and Wednesdays are missing out on worshipping their God as commanded Jesus gave the command to partake of the Lord’s Supper (Lk. 22:14-20)

Blessed are… 1. …those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend a few hours a week with their fellow Christians. We also see the example of the early church doing so (Acts 20:7; I Cor. 11) We are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together

Blessed are… 1. …those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend a few hours a week with their fellow Christians. They are also missing out on Bible study (II Tim. 2:15) It’s how we grow our faith (Rom. 10:17) God expects us to grow (Heb. 5:12-14; II Pet. 3:18)

Blessed are… 1. …those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend a few hours a week with their fellow Christians. We should desire to grow (I Pet. 2:2) so that we can defend our faith (I Pet. 3:15) They are also missing out on the chance to encourage and fellowship with other Christians

Blessed are… 1. …those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend a few hours a week with their fellow Christians. Hebrews 10:24-25 just doesn’t tell us not to miss, but why we should be here Colossians 3:16 tells us to teach and admonish by singing to one another

Blessed are… 2. …the trouble makers. They shall be called my children. Solomon once said that God hates those who sow discord among the brethren (Prov. 6:19) God is a God of peace and desires harmony between His people

Blessed are… 2. …the trouble makers. They shall be called my children. “A perverse man sows strife, and a whisperer separates the best of friends” (Prov. 16:28) Paul told Timothy to avoid foolish and ignorant disputes (II Tim. 2:23)

Blessed are… 2. …the trouble makers. They shall be called my children. There are still men like Diotrephes today; he wasn’t a one of a kind He stirred up because he loved to be the one getting all the glory (III Jn. 9-10) Satan loved a one such as him

Blessed are… 3. …the complainers. I’m all ears to them. “Do all things without complaining and disputing” (Phil. 2:14) Satan loves those who only see the negative and discourage others with it We are to do our Christian duty without complaints (I Pet. 4:9)

Blessed are… 3. …the complainers. I’m all ears to them. Paul speaks of learning from the mistakes of the Israelites in I Corinthians 10 We are not to complain as they did (v. 10) There is a such thing as a productive complaint (Acts 6:1)

Blessed are… 4. …those who do not give their offering to carry on God’s work… The Bible commands us as Christians to give (I Cor. 16:1-2) In fact, we are reminded that giving is a blessing (Acts 20:35) When we give, God gives back to us (Lk. 6:38)

Blessed are… 4. …those who do not give their offering to carry on God’s work… There are some who may think giving is “optional” Some withhold contribution if there is something they do not like You reap what you sow (II Cor. 9:6-7; Gal. 6:7)

Blessed are… 5. …is he who professes to love God but hates his brother and sister… How do we feel about our brothers and sisters? All of them? We are certainly commanded to love God, but that’s not all

Blessed are… 5. …is he who professes to love God but hates his brother and sister… The second great command is like the first (to love God); it’s to love our neighbors (Matt. 22:36-40) The law is based on these two If we say we love God but hate our brother, we are a liar (I Jn. 4:20-21)
