Galatians 1:15-17 “to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles,” 14

Galatians 1:15-17 “to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles,” Paul wrote to the churches of Galatia so they would see the importance of living for Jesus, instead of pleasing one’s self. 15

16 1 John 2:3-6, “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”

17 1 John 2:3-6, “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” Jesus’ example demands each Christian to be the right kind of influence before their family, friends, those people around them, and even their enemies.

18 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven;” Matthew 5:44-45

19 The Bible reveals the Marriage of a Man to a Woman, who because of their vows to God became Husband & Wife Matthew 19:4-6; Hebrews 13:4

20 But in this God given relationship the husband and wife are to be the right kind of influence for each other.

21 But in this God given relationship the husband and wife are to be the right kind of influence for each other. Where is the Respect for Christ, and for each other? Will you respect your children, or see them as being in the way?

22 Husbands – Does it matter how you dress, talk, where you go, who you spend most of your time with, or what takes up most of your time and money?

23 Husbands – Does it matter how you dress, talk, where you go, who you spend most of your time with, or what takes up most of your time and money? Wives – Does it matter how you dress, talk, where you go, who you spend most of your time with, or what takes up most of your time and money?

24 Colossians 3:18-19,“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.” “Husbands love your wives, do not be bitter toward them” 1 Peter 3:7, Ephesians 5:22-33; Don’t Forget Titus 2:1-5

Let us consider what God Commanded the Israelites to do with their families. 25

Let us consider what God Commanded the Israelites to do with their families. Deut. 4:9, “Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,” 26

27 “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” Deut. 6:7

28 “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” Deut. 6:7 How can you hope to teach that which you are not living in your own life?

29 1 Timothy 5:7 “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

30 1 Timothy 5:7 “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” But does this mean your influence on your family is as important as providing for them?

31 Parent’s influence on their children can be a blessing or it can be a terrible curse. Fathers are instructed to be the right kind of influence: Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 3:21

32 Fathers – Does it matter how you dress, talk, where you go, who you spend most your time with, or what takes up most of your time and money?

33 Fathers – Does it matter how you dress, talk, where you go, who you spend most your time with, or what takes up most of your time and money? Mothers- Does it matter how you dress, talk, where you go, who you spend most of your time with, or what takes up most of your time and money?

34 The young mothers are to be instructed by the older Christian women Titus 2:3-5

Ephesians 6:1-3 Children have responsibilities in the family as well as the Parents. The influence of a child can make or break a relationship. No discipline of the children leads to the destruction of the family! 35

36 Colossians 3:20 “Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.”

37 Children – Will you obey your parents, make the right choices? But understand that your siblings will follow your attitudes and actions to their own salvation or destruction? Who are the adults?

38 Brethren we are charged to be Christ like in all that we do and say while we are here on earth.

39 1 Peter 2:9-12 “having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.”

40 1 Peter 3:8-17 “And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?” (But what will be the harm if you don’t? Some ask, “Who will it hurt?”)
