What do we look for? l Commitment, enthusiasm l An activity which shows the potential to make a difference l Good planning and evidence of capacity to run proposed activity l Evidence of local support l Sound financial management l Honest appraisal of potential difficulties l Sustainability of the project (especially for capital grants)

Community Sport: What we look for l Focus on increasing access and engagement, particularly for hard to reach and disadvantaged young people l Using sport as a vehicle to achieve outcomes beyond increasing numbers l Evidence of addressing a wider community need and potential to make a difference l Support from LA and other key funders (capital)

What we won’t fund What we won’t fund l Individuals l Organisations who are not charities l Umbrella Groups not providing direct service l Promotion of Political or Religious beliefs l Counselling, Advocacy, Advice and Information

Our Approach Our Approach l We are a match funder –Don’t fully fund any project l Revenue requests –Existing or new work including salaries –Will fund for 3 years –Up to 50% of one full time salary (max. £15k) l Capital projects –Up to 10% of total capital costs under £1M
