Page 1 of 2 Southern California Chapter of the MRA July 2006 Monthly News Bulletin SoCal Education Day- July 22nd Education Day, which was held once again at Los Angeles Valley College, was a big success with 45 attendees. Our opening session started with Wendy Kheel and Rudy Wu from Universal Studios discussing how Universal Studios brought their guest research in-house. Charlie Schwartz (Intelligent Analytical Services) spoke on the topic of Basic Statistics & Segmentation Analysis. Kate Greenhill Taplin (MarketTools), discussed utilizing Online & Offline methodologies for Hispanic Research. In addition, we had a panel discussion featuring Rochelle Newman-Carrasco (Enlace), Kate Greenhill-Taplin (Market Tools) and Carlos Garcia (Garcia Research Associates) on Trends in Hispanic Research. Ed Sugar, one of our own SoCal Board members, and Marion Heyn, Associate Professor from LAVC presented “Netiquette” which reviewed the “do’s and don’ts” of . George Sloan spoke from both a moderator’s and a previous facility owner’s perspective on the importance of the Qualitative Research process. Dirk Rinker (Campbell Rinker), Amy Shields (Nichols Research) and Eric Sandberg (e-Rewards) concluded our event discussing what you really need to know when it comes to Privacy issues.
