 Grade level: Kindergarten  Subject: Science  Summary: The purpose of this PowerPoint is to teach children the basic characteristics, life style, and importance of endangered Elephants.  Objective: Given websites with facts about Elephants, the students will need to interpret the material in the websites to answer questions in the PowerPoint, with 100% accuracy.  Standard: GLE Compare the basic features of animals.

 As we know, Elephants are endangered! Endangered: seriously at risk of extinction, dying out. Let’s get to know a little bit more about these gentle giants. Go to this fun website and learn about Elephants! aturefeature/african-elephant/ INSTRUCTION

 When an elephant drinks, it sucks as much as 2 gallons (7.5 liters) of water into its trunk at a time. (That’s 2 big jugs of milk in your refrigerator at home!)  Elephants are social creatures.
