NO HAGAS ESTO ¡HAZ ESTO! ❖ Don’t use two conjugated verbs together. Ejemplo: Yo necesito estudio para la clase de Matemáticas. ❖ This means I need I STUDY for Math class. ❖ Use a conjugated and an infinitive verb together. Ejemplo: Yo necesito estudiar para la clase de Matemáticas. Now this correctly means: I need TO STUDY for Math class. ¡ Una pista! A conjugated verbs means you know who is doing the action. Remember – o,-as,-a,-amos,-an? That is how you conjugate an -AR infinitive verb.

NO HAGAS ESTO ¡HAZ ESTO! ❖ Don’t use words like a, my, and the together Ejemplo: Mi el horario es exigente. ❖ This means My the schedule is demanding. Ejemplo: Mi el maestro favorito es el Sr. Brown. ❖ My the teacher is Mr. Brown. ❖ Use just one or the other! Just not together. Ejemplo: Mi horario es exigente. ❖ My schedule is demanding. Mi= My Su= his/her/Your formal Tu=Your informal

Ejemplo: Tengo la clase de Matemáticas después la clase de inglés. ❖ Ok so this rule in English does not make sense or exist; So remember, YOU JUST HAVE TO MEMORIZE IT! ❖ Use de after después when discussing order Ejemplo: Tengo la clase de Matemáticas después de la clase de inglés. Now this correctly means: I have Math class AFTER English class. There are lots of ways to say next! Después de = after (for sequence) Después = afterwards Siguiente = Next as in Next …I have this class dah dah dah… Próximo= upcoming, next Like next month. El próximo mes….

NO HAGAS ESTO ¡HAZ ESTO! ❖ Don’t forget to say en la …hora when saying a class period Ejemplo: En la segunda tengo la clase de español. ❖ This means: In the second, I have Spanish class. ❖ Use : en la…hora when telling us your class periods. Ejemplo: En la segunda hora tengo la clase de español. Now this correctly means: In second period I have Spanish class. ¡ Una pista! DON’T FORGET THAT THE ORDINAL NUMBERS MUST BE FEMININE BECAUSE HOUR IS FEMININE!

Ejemplo: Mi tarea es mucho difícil. ❖ This means My homework is a lot difficult. ❖ Remember that mucho means a lot and muy means very Ejemplo: Mi tarea es muy difícil. Now this correctly means: My homework is very difficult. Tengo muchos amigos. I have a lot of friends. ¡ Una pista! Remember that mucho has to change depending on the noun it describes.

NO HAGAS ESTO ¡HAZ ESTO! ❖ Don’t forget to conjugate when saying that someone is performing an action Ejemplo: Mis amigos y yo practicar deportes. ❖ This means: My friends and I to practice sports. ❖ Conjugate the infinitive verb when you are telling us that someone is doing an action Ejemplo: Mis amigos y yo practicamos deportes. Now this correctly means: My friends and I practice sports.
