What is The Network? The Network is the statewide HIE in Arizona  The Network provides a secure system that allows: patient health records to be accessed electronically by health care providers at health care facilities and health plans throughout AZ ensuring protection of personal health information and privacy  Standard data set currently exchanged and available: ADT transactions (problem lists, allergies, procedures, insurance, etc.) Medications Lab results Transcribed reports Radiology reports

Available Services Patient health information can be accessed through the following methods:  Bidirectional Exchange 2-way pipeline Sending information on patients inbound (from participant to HIE) Retrieving information on patients outbound (from HIE to participant) from exchange Push/pull or query/response functionality  Provider Portal/Payor Portal View only access to patient information from available sources Download capabilities for user selected data Single sign-on integration with EHRs

Available Services (cont.) NEW ways to access and communicate patient information include:  Direct Secure Secure for clinical information delivery DirectTrust certified and HIPAA compliant Supports Meaningful Use Stage 2  Alerts & Notifications Delivering alerts based on admissions/discharges/transfers (ADTs) as well as test results and reports  Public Health Reporting Connection to ADHS that will include immunization registry, electronic lab reporting, syndromic surveillance and disease registries Supports Meaningful Use Stage 2  eHealth Exchange Connecting to eHealth Exchange (national network) to support exchange with IHS, VA, SSA, other HIEs, etc. Supports Meaningful Use Stage 2
