G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Explain in your own words what happens on the classroom Wiki-workspace. The classroom wiki workspace is the center of all the school class portals such as the Cavett project portal or the Collier project portal. You can also access many games from the wiki workspace.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio I use Performance Based Objectives in GATE. PBOs are important because They help you on projects and in the daily mission statements. It also tells you what to do each day and how to do it.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio I use Language Based Objectives in GATE. LBOs are important because Language based object or LBO is the objective in which you write talk or express your own opinions.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio What is Red Light Thinking? Red light thinking is when you stop and gather the facts. Provide an example of Red Light thinking. Jupiter is the biggest planet. Mercury is the smallest.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio What is Yellow Light Thinking? Yellow light thinking is when you slow down and make conclusions. Provide an example of Yellow Light Thinking. We can conclude that the solar system is very interesting and there is much we haven't discovered.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio What is Green Light Thinking? Green thinking is wondering what will happen next. It is your imagination. Provide an example of Green Light thinking. Ralph Phillips, the Green light thinking expert.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Why is our GATE Student Checklist important? It tells you what to do, it is also the place where you can do what's on there instead of waiting.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Critical Thinking Shapes Explain what this product is and how you created it. [this product is a duck I created with the tools I used such as the lines and Microsoft word]

Solar Systems Name the eight planets in orders. Mercury, Venus, earth, mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Solar Systems Post ten facts you learned about the Solar Systems. 1.It has eight planets. 2. It has a center star called the sun. 3.Pluto is dwarf planet 4. Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system 5.Mercury is the smallest Planet in the solar system 6.Neptune gets it’s blue color from methane. 7.Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun. 8.Uranus is the coldest planet in the solar system 9.Venus is the hottest planet 10. earth is the only planet with life so far

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet I used the internet to gather the weather facts then I put them on the chart and then after that I make graphs.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Weather Report Hi folks, today I'm talking about two cities, Tucson and Detroit. First let's go towards Canada at a place called Detroit,Michigan. Today in Detroit the temperature at it's highest is about 47 degrees and at it's lowest is 30 degrees, I have to say I would love to be in weather like that right now. Tomorrow in Detroit the temperatures at it's highest is about 50 degrees and at it's lowest at an estimate is about 45 degrees. Perfect time to go outside right! Oh couldn't be better. Now on Wednesday for Detroit, Michigan the temperature at it's highest is 66 and it's lowest is 40. Oh can these temperatures get any better or what. Just to see if they do get worse or not who wants to see what the temperature is going to be on Thursday. Well, I do so, the temperature on Thursday at it's highest is... curious right, 49 and at it's lowest is 31.

Weather report We were right everyone it doesn't get any worse at all. Now lets go to Tucson, Arizona, home of the wildcats. The highest temperature in Tucson, Arizona is 79 and it's lowest today is 47 degrees. It's pretty hot in Tucson today! Tomorrow in Tucson the temperature at it's highest is 85 and at it's lowest is 49, man it is so hot! I think I'm going to get nosebleeds. On Wednesday, folks the temperature is 88 at it's highest, oh so hot, and 52 at it's lowest. On Thursday, the temperature is 87 at it's highest and 57 at it's lowest. It got lower on high temperature but it is still super hot people. Friday and Saturday's highest are 89 and 91, 91! oh I must be losing my mind. Now let's look at the current surface radar, the surface radar says about six states will be affected by cold or warm fronts. The five states are Louisiana, warm front, a cold front in California, a warm front in Montana, a warm front in Idaho, and a warm front in Wyoming. There is a stationary front in Nebraska. This is Jonathan Hewings at channel 9 news.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Weather Report What is a cold front? A cold mass of air What is a warm front? A warm mass of air What is a stationary front? A mass of air which stays in one place.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Hurricane Facts A hurricane is a storm that comes from the water. It can bring houses down. There have been a lot of hurricanes. Hurricanes can destroy towns.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Tornado Facts A tornado is a swirling storm. Tornados come from the sky. The F5 is the biggest tornado. The F1 tornado is the smallest tornado.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Introducing my GATE Teacher My G.A.T.E teacher is Mr. Lewis. I have had some great experiences like no homework, lots of fun and it has made me smarter.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Why is GATE important to you? It makes me smarter and it is also a great privilege to be in G.A.T.E. People think you’re a nerd if you go to G.A.T.E but you’re really not you’re a smarter kid.
