3. G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Explain in your own words what happens on the classroom Wiki-workspace. The Wiki-workspace is a place for the students in gate to do there work and discuss there ideas with each other on the discussion portal. The Wiki-workspace is also a place for students to do their work and stay on task. We can also download different things like our checklist to help us know what to do after a certain thing so that we wont have to ask the teacher or wait for other classmates. There is also a section of websites that we can use to finish our work. There is also a section of games that Mr. Lewis has for us. These games are here for us to play win we finish our work.

4. G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio I use Performance Based Objectives in GATE. PBOs are important because they help us stay on task and they also help us understand what we are supposed to do and finish in GATE class.

Pretend you are an astronaut and you have been told to go explore Jupiter. What would some of the problems be? What would you need to take with you? If I were an astronaut going to explore Jupiter I would need something that would give me oxygen I would also need some kind of device that would help me reach other people in case of any emergencies. The problems I would have are in certain parts of the planet it would be very cold.

11. G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio GATE Student Journal An Academic goal that I want set is to read my chapter book every day until I finish it. A personal goal that I want to set is to clean my house for my mom without being asked to because that will make her very happy. When I grow up I want to be a cosmetologist because I like fashion and doing hair and doing nails because it is fun and I can be creative when I want I also love to do nails because you can use all kinds of different colors and different designs. I also like hair because you can come up with different hairstyles and you can use all kinds of different utensils for the hair. When I finish school I want to go to college to get my degree and go to school to become a cosmetologist. I also would like to be a famous baker and have my own little shop to sale all my different cupcakes and so that I can come up with different delicious ideas that I think people will like and that I will like. I can also decorate them in my own way that I like. I will also come up with a great name that will be catchy that will make people come to my bakery shop and that is what I want to do with my life once I finish school.

A hurricane weakens rapidly after it strikes land. Hurricanes hit land with tremendous force, bringing huge waves and heavy rain. Hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean runs from June 1st until November 30 th.

He is also very helpful and when there is something that I don’t know he helps me understand it very well. He also helps us stay on task. He also teaches us fascinating things. Overall I love my GATE teacher. He is the best GATE teacher I have ever had.
