Maternity Services Perinatal Mental Health Pilot –We are piloting a comprehensive and locally adapted maternal mental health and wellbeing pathway for women with mild to moderate mental health needs in the Kennington ward. The pathway takes a structured approach to addressing the common issues associated with the journey women take from midwifery to health visiting and GP services –Funding was secured from the Florence Nightingale Foundation for the evaluation of the pilot. The evaluation will be ready in June A Pan London Maternity Network has been established in January 2015 : we are represented by Ami David A sector wide Maternity Network has also been established: we are represented by Emma Stevenson and Marion Shipman Links closely with the 5-year strategy programme

LEAP Update Community involvement day held 25 February 2015 Attended by parents, children and carers and local professionals A robust service design process is being followed for each of the 22 LEAP intervention, including extensive service user involvement Interventions will be phased in from April One of the first interventions will be the Parent Champion model, LEAP are in the process of recruiting 104 parent champions (SEL using as a model of good practice) Website now live

CYPHP Inreach Programme – Parent Views Common themes from comments included: –ease of access to GP surgery vs. hospital –familiar environment – less stressful for family –reassurance of receiving input from the paediatrician Example comments: “A fantastic service, reduces unnecessary visits to hospital and allows an examination in a familiar, relaxed environment.” (Parent / carer, Lambeth) “I really appreciate the time I was given to provide reassurance that we are doing the right thing for our baby. The paediatrician had read our history notes beforehand, it was a very useful and positive experience - thank you.” (Parent / carer, Southwark) “Fantastic, please continue. a blueprint for adolescent healthcare

Open for “Drop-in” 3 afternoons a week pm- staffed by GP (adolescent health experienced), 2 youth workers and Band 7 CAMHS nurse. Young People can drop in or have booked appointment Youth work outreach activities at other times – including regular counselling sessions in schools, school assemblies and PSHE, running young peoples activities e.g. Girls Group, Stop and Search, art and cookery activities

Working with Hard to Reach Groups 10.4 % Not in Education Employment or Training 15.2% not living with birth or adoptive parents 10.3% living in foster care or in hostel 6.5% referred by MAT team (social services) 31.4% live with both parents

Other Achievements Lambeth strategic breastfeeding group, chaired by the CCG won the All Party Parliamentary Group on Maternity Award for best multi- disciplinary working Spring Consortium DfE innovation funding for New Orleans Model – infant mental health for children entering care system Public Health England are using Lambeth Healthy Child Weight programme as an example of good practice Lambeth has achieved Stage 1 UNICEF BFI Accreditation and will be assessed for stage 2 in June 2015
