Clean Safe & Green Housing Presentation 22 nd January 2015

Introduction Simon Coultas- Operations Manager for Clean Safe and Green. This presentation aims to provide an overview of the Clean Safe and Green service which was launched in April 2009.

The Service... CSG consists of 7 areas within the Borough with each area having its own team carrying out the combined service functions of street cleansing and grounds maintenance. Gateway team set up servicing main arterial roads, fly tipping, graffiti and sports Borough Wide. CSG works out of two depots- Cupid and Tring. All CSG operatives are required to be multi skilled, and training is important in developing this.

The Service.... Area team rota working and what does this mean. Summer working program and work done. Winter working program and work done. Fly tipping. Graffiti. Dog Fouling. Dead animals and road kill.

Operational Areas The areas are based on the Police Crime and Disorder areas and will build strong relationships and partnerships with the area PCSO’s and Neighbourhood Wardens

Branding of Service All staff in the service were issued with new uniforms displaying the new service. All vehicles and machines have been branded to reflect the new service. The branding has led to the service having its own identity and given the staff a sense of belonging and pride.

TREES Trees and safety. Tree inspections and the life system. The Policy and the focus on the relationship between people and trees Tree requests and work done. How the work gets done-contract or in- house.

HOUSING LANDSCAPES Work done and when. How it is done. The overall objective to be achieved: 1.Sustainable. 2.Low maintenance. 3.Horticulturally correct. 4.Achieves objective.
