SPARC Page Select “Afloat” for Afloat mishaps/hazards only (for on- duty Diving mishaps and Explosive mishaps select “Shore/Ground”): On board commissioned Navy or MSC vessels and embarked boats, landing craft, or leased vessels. Loading, off-loading, or receiving services pierside. Amphibious/inshore warfare training operations up to the high water mark. Injuries to DoD personnel and non-DoD personnel on board.

SPARC Page Select “Shore/Ground” for On-Duty Shore/Ground mishaps and hazards (to include Shipyard mishaps/hazards): DoD mishaps that occur on land, involve DoD operations, evolutions, on-duty DoD personnel, and that results in injury or occupational illness, or damage to private or DoD property. Injury or illness to non-DoD personnel caused by Shore/Ground DoD operations, evolutions or on-duty DoD personnel.
