Purpose of Flow Chart This flow chart could be used to either teach the actual process represented by it or it could be used as a model for an activity to be completed by the students. One objective would be for the students to create their own life cycle chart about an animal of their choosing or an animal from a family they are currently studying. The students would be asked to do research beforehand (either in textbooks or online). These charts could be drawn on paper or created the same way using PowerPoint.
