Water shortage In Pakistan

lntroduction Amount of water in Pakistan is not much due to which there are different types of problems. People living in rural areas don’t have water supply and have to walk far of to fetch water from karez and wells. Highlands of Pakistan such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan receive less water because there are mountains and plateaus. Punjab and Sindh receive more water because river and lakes are present there.

Pakistan has four provinces; Sindh Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Baluchistan

Sindh Sindh is neighboring the sea, but sea water is not suitable for use in a lot of things. People of Sindh also face issues regarding industry, agriculture and domestic use as well. Water is there but not sufficient enough for the population to live.

Punjab Punjab gets more water than the provinces in highlands but it is still not sufficient for a big and agricultural province . There is a shortage of electricity and water but the misery is not as much as the rest of the provinces. It has Tarbela dam and some other dams so more electricity is produced but living in Punjab is also tough.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is suffering like Baluchistan with no water to drink and not sufficient for the use in industry, agriculture, electricity and domestic use. Children , adults and senior citizens in this province are suffering due to the situation because they need water.

Baluchistan Baluchistan receives less water due to which people suffer. Owners of fruit orchids are miserable because of no water resulting in destruction of their orchids as a result they have to work day and night to earn money for their family. Families have to die of thirst. They don’t have water for drinking and for basic necessities let alone electricity.

Solution to reduce shortage of water We should make; Pakistan a better place by solving such issues in time for the survival of our coming generations. To this: What steps should be taken to save water: Government should make dams. People should use water wisely. Highlands should be helped in the water crisis. We should make people aware about importance of water through campaigns. From this:

Impurities in Water In Pakistan

lntroduction Pakistan has impure water. Rubbish thrown in water can cause impurities. The impurities can cause waterborne diseases such as diarrhea , hepatitis , dengue. These are common in Pakistan because of the water’s condition. Marine life is also effected by impure water. Impure water causes hair fall too.

Diarrhea Diarrhea is the condition of having three or more loose or liquid bowel movements per day. It is a common cause of death in developing countries and the second most common cause of infant deaths worldwide. The loss of fluids through diarrhea can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalances.

Dengue Dengue fever also known as breakbone fever, is an infectious tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles. In a small proportion of cases the disease develops into the life-threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets and blood plasma leakage, or into dengue shock syndrome, where dangerously low blood pressure occurs

Hepatitis Hepatitis is a disease that includes any type of inflammation of the liver, the result of a complex process that occurs when the liver suffers an injury. Doctors call the inflammation that lasts less than six months acute hepatitis and inflammation that lasts longer than six months chronic hepatitis. While there are many causes of liver inflammation, clinicians divide them into two main categories: viral hepatitis and non- infectious hepatitis.

Effects of impure water on marine life This beauty is getting effected by impure water. Fish can only live in clean and pure water otherwise they die.
