Infectious Diseases 傳染性的疾病

Tuberculosis (結核病)

Tuberculosis Tuberculosis is spread through the air, when people who have the disease cough, sneeze, or spit. One third of the world current population has been infected with M. tuberculosis, and new infections occur at a rate of one per second.

Dengue fever (登革熱) Dengue fever viruses

Dengue fever Dengue is transmitted by mosquitoes. Why are those areas mainly infected?

Hepatitis B (乙型肝炎) Hepatitis B viruses

Hepatitis B Transmission of virus results from exposure to infectious blood or body fluids containing blood. Possible forms of transmission include (but are not limited to) unprotected sexual contact, blood transfusions, re-use of contaminated needles, and vertical transmission from mother to child during childbirth.

Acute diarrhoea (急性腹瀉)

Acute diarrhoea Infection of the gut is the common cause. Many bacteria, viruses, and other 'germs' can cause diarrhoea. Sometimes the germs come from infected food (food poisoning). Infected water is a cause in some countries. Sometimes it is just 'one of those germs going about'. Viruses are easily spread from one person to another by close contact, or when an infected person prepares food for others.

Cholera (霍亂)

Cholera Cholerae bacteria, which infect the digestive system. Transmission to humans occurs through eating food or drinking water contaminated with cholera vibrios. Infected patients may die within three hours if medical treatment is not provided.

Red-eye syndrome(紅眼症)

Red-eye syndrome 主要經接觸傳染。患者的眼部分泌物,可以透過患者的手或用過的物品,例如手帕、毛巾、面盆、眼藥、各種用具或玩具等,把疾 病傳播至別人的眼睛。

Infectious diseases spread by bacteria and viruses through air, food, animals, touches and blood.

Symptoms of infectious diseases
