Context  2011 : Citizen forums were held with the English speaking community of Laval.  Following these forums certain requests were formulated in regards to the CSSS de Laval. AGAPE contacted the Board of Directors of the CSSS de Laval to discuss the wishes of the citizens.  January 2014 : First meeting of the committee AGAPE- CSSS de Laval promoting services for the English speaking community of Laval. 3

Presentation of the action plan  1st objective : Communicate the services offered at the CSSS de Laval in English.  1.1 : Encourage bilingualism among CSSS members of personnel  Awareness : Information sessions for new employees  Manager’s meeting; Info-C3S (CSSS Laval internal news letter)  Training : English courses; Internships for professionals  Following the Access program: Respecting the requirements of the program  1.2. : disseminate the services offered by the CSSS Laval in English  On the CSSS’s website 4

Presentation of the action plan  2nd objective : Improve access to current and future healthcare and social services at the CSSS de Laval for the English- speaking community  2.1: Offer written information, in English, about available services  Review of the translated documents provincially and locally  To create an internal bank of clinical tools available in English (in the CSSS) to facilitate access to all professionals of the CSSS  Identify the informational tools which are to be translated 5
