The GIXEL Digital Identity Group  GIXEL Digital Identity Group gathers the following companies that produce smart card based solutions.  Its mission is to promote smart secure device technology and to put in place all the necessary conditions for using it for the issuance and use of electronic secure documents and digital identity, in a national but also European and international context.

GIXEL Digital Identity achievements (1/3) The IAS ECC ecosystem 1.A specification for the design of interoperable smart secure devices –That implement Identification, Authentication and digital Signature features (IAS) –In compliance with the European Citizen Card CEN standard (ECC) 2.A Conformity test suite and automated test tools, 3.Interoperability test sessions, including middleware, 4.Homologation scheme. –Trusted labs and homologation authority are completing this scheme The whole framework is available and works

GIXEL Digital Identity achievements (2/3) The selection of IAS ECC ecosystem for eID 1.France selected IAS ECC for secure eID Documents 2.Other countries in Europe, Africa and South America also selected IAS ECC IAS ECC interoperability proof  During interoperability test sessions, cards of 3 suppliers have been proven as interoperable with the IAS ECC middleware.

GIXEL Digital Identity achievements and works (3/3) Contributions to standards and other reports that structure the eTravel and eID documents  EAC Protection Profile comments  SAC Technical Report  SAC Protection Profile  SAC Universal Reader Tool  Anonymization of identity in the cyberspace,  BioAPI SAC: Supplemental Access Control

GIXEL Digital Identity Group A vision for the international market and the future  ECC, and then IAS ECC have not been designed for being just French / European – ECC is a public standard designed by the European industry – IAS specification is available to all (public) – Interoperability tools are available to all (via tool suppliers) – Referred standards are not only European, but ICAO / ISO – Interoperability workshops are easy to organize  IAS ECC, an evolutionary open standard – Taking into account the best of innovation – Introducing the newest cryptography and security protocols – But insuring upward compatibility  The eID world needs interoperable schemes as successfully organized for eTravel documents – IAS ECC purpose is to promote an interoperable use of eID

GIXEL Digital Identity Group A vision for the international market and the future  GIXEL Digital Identity Group meets other organizations – DIF, BITKOM, … – EUROSMART, – Conferences in international events,  GIXEL Digital Identity opens its group to international partners – For IAS ECC ecosystem support – Better understanding and inclusion of regional requirements that shall be shared – Exchanges of ideas on the close topic of IAS technology and its use for Citizen, Private and Digital identity in our new era.  GIXEL Digital Identity partners – Will get free use of GIXEL smart card group developments – Will have 2 annual meetings with the Digital Identity group – Will be in a position to provide directions and comments on future works

GIXEL Digital Identity Group partner benefits  Be part of a community that: - supports the proper and beneficial use of smart secure device technology for the issuance and use of electronic identity documents and digital identity in the virtual world; - Develops and promotes internationally specifications and ecosystem that allow successful projects of electronic ID documents and digital identity; -Has access to, participate and provide inputs to high level policy making at French, European and international levels;  Participate to networking and information sharing with GIXEL Digital Identity members, partners and network;  Be in a position to push for the inclusion of regional requirements that can be leveraged across countries, in GIXEL Digital Identity developments;  Keep informed about latest developments in electronic identity technology
