What is So what is this thing called “P” interest…Pin-terest… What it is: Pinterest /ˈpin-t(ə-)rəst/ is an on-line bulletin board Pinterest self-describes itself as “a tool for collecting and organizing things you love.” People use Pintrest to: Make a wishlist Plan a trip Organize an event Start a collection Plan a project How do you say it? Teachers use Pintrest to: Research new topics Share creative ideas Find new, interesting ways to present concepts Find books and activities to enhance themes you already teach Find recipes to use in the classroom Discover your new favorite activity Find other people who share the passion of creative teaching And soooooo much more!

Getting Started Are you signed up? Step 1: Signing up for a Pinterest account is easier than ever! You will need the following 1.Your name 2.Date of Birth 3. address 4.Gender 5.A screen name that has not been used yet 6.A password 7.Picture of you (optional) Step 2: Follow 5 boards that inspire you Step 3: Create your first board (Title) Step 4: Pin your first idea to your board Step 5: Go to the account you used to sign up and confirm that you are the person who created the new Pintrest account Step 6: Look for interesting ideas to pin onto your new board
