 To say where you are going. ◦ Voy a la cafetería.  I am going to the cafeteria ◦ Hoy vamos al gimnasio.  Today we are going to the gym. Ir + a + place Ir + a + place

 To express future plans. ◦ ¿Qué vas a hacer el Sábado?  What are you going to do on Saturday? ◦ Voy a bailar con mis amigos.  I am going to dance with my friends.

 To ask where someone is going or what somebody is going to do, add a before the infinitive.
