 IP Address– Internet Protocol Address  It is a numerical label that is assigned to any device participating in a computer network.  It helps to communicate between nodes

 A,B,C,D,E  A– for ex = Class A  B for ex  C– for ex  D,E are IP address that are reserved for Military and research uses.

 8 bits per octet there are 4 octets  Eg These are the octets. 192– Has 8 bytes to one 1 bit so 8*8=64 64 bytes to 1 octet.

 Base 16  It is easier to go from Hex to binary then to decimal  You have 1-9 and A-F
