Find the quotation which describes Jekyll (physically ) for the first time in the novel. (Dr Jekyll Was Quite at Ease) 2. How would you describe his mental/emotional state during this conversation with Utterson?

 The next time Utterson sees Dr. Jekyll, he appears very different ( Incident of the Letter ): 1. Find a quote which highlights the difference in Jekyll’s physical appearance from the last time Utterson saw him. 2. Explain, briefly, the reason for the change in his appearance. 3. Find a quotation which shows Jekyll still feels capable of controlling Hyde at this point in the novel. 4. How would YOU describe Jekyll’s mental state at this point? Give reasons for your answer.
